Official names selected for two future Toronto stations

September 1 - Two future stations in Toronto’s west end now have official names: introducing Junction Triangle Station and Stockyards Station.

The names were chosen following consultations with the community. Stockyards emerged as the top-ranked name for the new station at St. Clair Avenue West and Old Weston Road, while Junction Triangle was among the top choices for the new station at Bloor Street West and Lansdowne Avenue.  

Strengthening connections across Toronto

The future Junction Triangle and Stockyards stations will strengthen connections between local and regional transit networks in Toronto's west end.

Once complete, the stations will improve access to GO Transit, UP Express and the TTC, giving customers more convenient travel options across the region.

Stockyards Station

Currently in early works, Stockyards Station will be served by the UP Express.

Located near the Stockyards District, the station will also offer convenient connections to TTC streetcar service along St. Clair Avenue, helping customers move seamlessly between local and regional transit networks.

Junction Triangle Station

Currently under construction, Junction Triangle Station will add a new transit option on the Barrie Line for customers travelling to and from Toronto's west end.

Located in the Junction Triangle neighbourhood, the station will provide commuters with more flexibility when travelling to Union Station or heading north out of the city.

Its proximity to Bloor GO/UP Station, as well as Lansdowne and Dundas West TTC subway stations, will make it easier for customers to connect to the Kitchener Line, travel to Toronto Pearson Airport or transfer to the TTC.

Once complete, Junction Triangle and Stockyards stations will expand transit access and strengthen connections across Toronto's west end.
