Holiday GO Transit service adjustments

Customers encouraged to plan ahead and check schedules.

Dec. 10 – Metrolinx will temporarily adjust service on some GO Transit routes as schools break for the holidays and travel patterns shift.

GO bus adjustments

Starting Saturday, Dec. 20, some GO bus routes will run less often on weekdays and/or weekends:

Weekday service reduced (until Friday, Jan. 2, 2026): Routes 25, 29, 30, 31, 52, 56, 88
Weekend service reduced (until Friday, Jan. 2, 2026): Routes 25, 30
Regular service returns on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026

GO train adjustments

Starting Sunday, Dec. 21, GO train service across the GO network will be adjusted to match seasonal demand:

Weekday service reduced (until Monday, Jan. 5, 2026): Lakeshore West, Lakeshore East, and the Milton, Kitchener, Richmond Hill, Barrie and Stouffville lines
Weekend service (until Monday Jan. 5, 2026): Hourly trips on Lakeshore West, Lakeshore East and the Kitchener line

On Wednesday, Dec. 24, Metrolinx is adding extra service on the Milton and Richmond Hill lines from Union Station to help customers get home earlier:

Milton line: additional trips departing Union Station at 1:40 p.m. and 2:40 p.m.
Richmond Hill line: additional trip departing Union Station at 2:45 p.m.

Service changes in January

Starting Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, Metrolinx will discontinue two GO bus routes: Route 54 and Route 66.

A new route connecting to Humber Polytechnic North Campus and the new Line 6 Finch West will replace them.
