New service means daily trips, seven days a week, year-round for customers.
April 29 - Starting July 6, Metrolinx is bringing year-round GO train service to Stratford. The new service will see existing Kitchener Line trains extended farther to Stratford, strengthening connectivity across southwestern Ontario.
GO trains will serve Stratford station with daily trips, seven days a week, year-round.
On weekdays, there will be a morning rush hour service from Stratford to Union Station, with a return trip in the afternoon. On weekends, a morning trip will bring customers from Union to Stratford, with a return trip in the evening. Train trips will make stops in Kitchener, Guelph, Acton, Georgetown and Brampton before reaching Union Station.
This extended service on the Kitchener GO Line offers those in Stratford a new option to commute by train to Kitchener, Brampton or Toronto on weekdays. On weekends, this new service provides customers from Toronto, Brampton and Kitchener another option to experience all that Stratford has to offer.
