Schedule changes on Barrie, Lakeshore GO Lines, Oct. 29 & 30

Hourly service between Union & Aurora (Barrie), Union & West Harbour (LSW)

Oct 24, 2022

Keeping our railway running smoothly for customers is our top priority.

Metrolinx plans track maintenance and other work on weekends to prevent disruptions during rush-hour trips.

Schedules for the Barrie GO Line, Lakeshore West and Lakeshore East GO Trains will be adjusted this weekend.

On Saturday, Oct 29 and Sunday, Oct 30, there will be hourly train service between Union Station and Aurora GO – with the last train leaving Union Station at 9:53 p.m.

No trains will run between Aurora GO and Allandale GO, however, buses will replace some of the train service.

Lakeshore West changes

Also on Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30, Lakeshore West service will be hourly between Union Station and West Harbour GO with some temporary changes to the Niagara Falls schedule.

This is for regular track and bridge maintenance.

Lakeshore East adjustments

Due to the service changes on the Lakeshore West, there will also be some adjustments on the Lakeshore East Line early in the morning and later in the evening as well as some minor schedule changes on bus routes 12, 15 and 18.

Drivers should be aware of construction work this weekend along the Queen Elizabeth Way at Hurontario Street for necessary work on the Hazel McCallion Line.

Looking ahead to early November

Looking ahead to next week, there will be schedule changes on the Lakeshore West and East Lines on Sunday Nov. 6 that are necessary as construction continues to link the new Hazel McCallion Line with Port Credit GO.
