Peel
Moving seamlessly within the Region
The Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) is one of the fastest growing regions in North America. Its dynamic economy and diverse population attract about 110,000 new residents every year, and will reach a total population of more than 10 million people by 2041. The region will look and feel very different than it does today, just as it now feels different than it did 25 years ago.
Metrolinx has opened up possibilities for residents to travel to, from and within the region by adding more transit infrastructure and developing new services. More service along the Kitchener, Lakeshore West and Milton corridors, and new means to travel via Mississauga Transitway, Hurontario LRT and the proposed Eglinton Crosstown West Extension creates better connections across Peel region. It’s happening.
