Taking transit is now more convenient and affordable for riders connecting from one system to another.

Feb. 26 - Starting today, transit riders only pay once when travelling between TTC and GO Transit, Brampton Transit, Durham Region Transit, MiWay and York Region Transit.

Simply tap with a PRESTO card, credit or debit, or PRESTO in Google Wallet and Ontario’s One Fare Program savings will automatically be applied.

For an adult who commutes five days a week, this could save them up to $1,600 per year. More affordable transit makes it easier to leave your car at home when commuting to and from work, heading to a sporting event or concert, or visiting family and friends.

"Ontario’s One Fare Program makes transit a more appealing option not only for residents but also for the millions of visitors to our region each year,” says Andrew Weir, Executive Vice President for Destination Toronto.

“Most visitors to Toronto arrive by air and don't have a car. Fare integration makes their travel within the destination easier and also encourages visitors to explore more of our region so that more communities benefit from the impact of visitor spending.”
