Guildwood GO Station

As part of GO Expansion, Metrolinx has updated and improved the Guildwood GO station building and rail platforms. Providing you with more service and an enhanced travel experience along the Lakeshore East Line. The station now features a fully accessible new station building, upgraded platforms, and improved parking while keeping your commute as easy as possible. The station features modern waiting areas, heated shelters at platform level, and an improved passenger pick-up/drop-off.

The new Guildwood GO Station gets you where you need to be better, faster, and easier.

We’ve made it easier for you to get in and out of the station, no matter how you get to Guildwood.

  • A new station building including a ticket sales counter for three attendants, and fully accessible public washrooms
  • Two pedestrian tunnels with stairs and elevators to the north and south platforms
  • Rebuilt platforms with new canopied accessible mini-platforms, integrated heated shelters, and a snow melting system
  • A new north passenger pick-up/drop-off and improvements to the north parking lot
  • Improvements to the south passenger pick-up/drop-off and parking lot to enhance traffic flow
  • VIA Rail e-ticketing infrastructure and a ticket sales kiosk

  • The station building has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Certification
  • Guildwood is the first station in the network to have a green roof and atrium incorporated into the design
  • Abundance of natural lighting throughout main building
  • The improvements to Guildwood Station support future 15-minute two-way service between Union Station and Oshawa GO, giving you a better and faster travel experience along Lakeshore East
