The Big Move is one of the largest investments made in Canadian transit history. A three-phased plan has been set out to finance its implementation.

PHASE 1

is already underway through $744 million in Quick Win projects approved in the 2008 Provincial Budget.

PHASE 2

consists of 15 priority projects, many of which can be constructed with the landmark $11.5 billion MoveOntario 2020 commitment. Construction will begin on some of these projects this year.

PHASE 3

of the investment plan takes us beyond 2015. As the priority projects are being built, we will consult with you to determine how longer-term actions should be funded. By 2013, we will report back to the province with recommendations on how to address the ongoing investments needed to implement the complete vision.
