Milton GO line

GO Transit’s Milton line provides weekday rush-hour train service between Milton and Toronto and all stops along the way. Trains run east in the morning and west in the afternoon.

Through its Regional Express Rail project – better known as GO expansion – Metrolinx is already starting to transform the existing GO rail system from a commuter service to a whole new rapid transit experience for your community. With more frequent rush-hour service from Monday to Friday, you’ll have more options to get you where you need to go.

We’ve made some important improvements since 2016 to make your rush hour commute easier and more convenient. These include:

1 new train

2 new trips

3,000 more seats

Everyone benefits

There will be more trips at every stop along the line, bringing more transit choices to Milton, Mississauga, Etobicoke, central Toronto and neighbouring communities. Everyone will benefit from:

More options

  • The number of trips on the Milton line is projected to increase by up to 30 per cent over the next 5 years, giving you more flexibility in your rush hour commutes

More time

  • With more frequent rush-hour service – every 15 minutes or better between Milton and Toronto and all stops along the way – you’ll have more ways to connect to the things that matter

More relief

  • More GO train trips means fewer cars on the road – in the next 10 years, weekly trips across the entire GO rail network will grow from about 1,500 to nearly 6,000, making it easier to choose transit first
