∙    Construction to begin on the ARL rail spur and passenger station at Toronto Pearson Terminal 1

2011

∙   AirLINX Transit Partners Inc. awarded contract for the construction of the Air Rail Link spur to
     Toronto Pearson Terminal 1

∙   Metrolinx purchases Tier-4 diesel multiple units from Sumitomo Corporation of America for
     the Air Rail Link

∙   Kathy Haley joins Metrolinx as Air Rail Link President

∙   Construction for the Air Rail Link begins on the Kitchener corridor (formerly Georgetown corridor)

2010

∙    July 2010, the Ontario Government asked Metrolinx to build, own and operate the Air Rail Link
     (ARL)
