Progress

The new station will be directly integrated with connections to the Eglinton Crosstown LRT and will have heated platform shelters, bicycle parking, pedestrian connections to Bowie Avenue, Carnarvan Street, and complete accessibility enhancements.

Customers will experience a seamless transition between GO Transit services on the Barrie GO Line and the Crosstown, giving them more options for getting around.

Caledonia GO Station is currently in the design phase. The RFQ will be released on January 21, 2020 and the tender process will continue throughout 2020. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2021 and completed by approximately spring 2023.

Uptown, downtown or crosstown, Caledonia Station will connect you. Caledonia Station is one of three Crosstown Stations that will feature a connection to an adjacent GO Station.

We’re working to bring you the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, GO Transit’s Barrie Line, and TTC buses, all connected at one new modern station.

Located on Eglinton Avenue West between Blackthorn Avenue and Croham Road in Toronto, Caledonia Station will connect you to an all-new, convenient rapid transit experience to get you where you need to be, better, faster and easier.

The station will connect you to frequent transit like never before. With a direct underground connection to the Crosstown LRT, and all-day, two-way service on the GO Barrie Line, (connecting York Region, Toronto, and Simcoe County) you’ll have easy access north, south, east and west transit, including a new TTC bus loop, a passenger pick-up and drop-off area, and 60 bike parking spaces.

Caledonia will be accessible and easy to navigate for all customers. GO Train platforms will be accessible from a new bridge connection to the plaza entrance. The Eglinton Crosstown line will open as the TTC’s Line 5 Eglinton and will offer accessible service at every station and stop, from Mount Dennis to Kennedy.

There will be a new multi-use path constructed from the intersection of Eglinton Avenue West and Blackthorn Avenue to the main station entrance. The path will be integrated with the station plaza.

In addition to your new connections to rapid transit, retail spaces will be included in the new plaza and in the bus terminal, as part of our work to restore and integrate the historic Kodak building into the future of Mount Dennis.
