Vince Mauceri, Chief Innovation Officer, Innovations

Vince is responsible for working with Metrolinx’s transit and transportation partners in the areas of service improvement and technology.
Among other duties, he will be responsible for advancing Metrolinx’s interests in connection with the Presto integrated electronic fare card project. Vince is a noted expert in municipal transportation with over 28-years experience in the public and private sectors, including parking, traffic, transportation planning, and public transit operations and management.
For the past decade, Vince has been Vice-President of Operations with ParkSmart, Inc., which has a range of business activities applying smart-card technology. He was also actively involved in the company’s SmartCity® smart card system, Canada’s largest reloadable smart card program. Having worked closely with clients such as housing authorities, municipalities and residential developers across Canada, he brings a strong focus on the potential for using contemporary technology to improve service delivery in the regional transportation field. Prior to his current position, Vince has held management positions in three transit organizations: Hamilton Street Railway, Burlington Transit, and Mississauga Transit. In addition to being widely recognized as very knowledgeable in the field of public transit, Vince brings useful and timely private-sector experience in areas such as business-support functions, parking regimes, property management and business-government relationships.
