Julia Deans

Julia Deans is the Executive Director of the Toronto City Summit Alliance (TCSA), a coalition of senior business, non-profit, government and community leaders formed to address challenges related to the Toronto region’s social and economic future.

Julia has a long-standing interest in public service and, prior to becoming a lawyer, spent a year as a legislative intern at Queen’s Park. She also held jobs at the Canadian Consulate (Investment Section) in New York, the United Nations, and at the New York City Department of Sanitation.

Julia has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from Queen’s University, a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University, and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. Julia began her career as a litigation and environmental lawyer and is qualified to practice law in Ontario, Hong Kong, and England and Wales.
