David J Culham

The photo of David J Culham David Culham served on the City of Mississauga’s Council for more than 27 years, shaping planning, environmental, and public works policies. In 1985, Council named the linear pedestrian trail as the ‘David J.Culham Trail’ which today extends from the Dundas to Meadowvale Village.

David is a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Credit Valley and served for years as a Board Member of the Peel Children's Aid Society, chairman of the Public Vehicle Authority and as a Board member of the Credit Valley Conservation. Having chaired the Salvation Army Red Shield Campaign for three years, David initiated a special capital programme that raised $1.3 million for local housing shelters. David has participated in many community agencies over the years including the United Way and City Centre Opera Board. In 1998, the Streetsville Rotary honoured David with the Paul Harris Fellowship for his work in the Streetsville community and in the Credit River Valley. In 1999, the Credit Valley Kiwanis gave David the Mel Osborne Fellowship for his work in the community and in enhancing the urban environment.
