Accessibility Public Meetings

2018 Accessibility Public Meetings

Metrolinx is committed to making transit services fully accessible to people of all ages and abilities. A Priority Action in the 2041 Regional Transportation Plan, universal access belongs at the centre of all transportation planning and designing activities to ensure safe, convenient and easy travel across the regional transit network.

Working with our Accessibility Advisory Committee and our customers, Metrolinx is improving our services every year on the existing GO network. Customer feedback throughout this process ensures that future services, such as LRTs and new stations, provide seamless, universal access from day one.

Once again in November, we are hosting our annual series of public meetings. Please join us to learn about the progress we have made this year and to provide feedback and advice on our ongoing work to improve the accessibility of GO Transit, PRESTO, UP Express and our future Rapid Transit services and projects. Participants in Hamilton and Whitby will also have the opportunity to discuss the accessibility of local transit.

American Sign Language interpretation, real-time captioning, and attendant care will be provided at each in-person meeting. If you cannot attend a meeting and would like to contribute suggestions about services, please send your comments and suggestions to accessibility@metrolinx.com

We ask that you please confirm your attendance with an RSVP to accessibility@metrolinx.com or call our contact centre at 1-888-438-6646, or 1-800-387-3652 (for TTY teletypewriters only).
