Regional Transportation Plan Taking Shape
Two White Papers Outline Metrolinx Vision
to Improve Travel Around the Region
TORONTO (May 8, 2008) – Metrolinx is seeking public input to help shape
a strategy to create a better transportation system across the Greater
Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).
Two new White Papers set out a vision, goals and objectives and propose
specific policies and concepts for a new Regional Transportation Plan (RTP).
The White Papers are posted online and are accessible 24/7 for review
and comment by the public until early July at
www.metrolinx.com. E-engagement
is one of Metrolinx’s popular green initiatives.

Metronauts Hamilton: An Unconference About the Future of Transportation
Grassroots Metronauts initiative engages public and planners around new
perspectives for regional transportation
TORONTO (April 23, 2008) – With the population of the Greater Toronto
and Hamilton Area growing quickly, transportation issues in the region
are moving to the forefront of public conversation.
Building on the tremendous success of its first event at the MaRS Centre
in Toronto the Metronauts community, with the sponsorship and active
participation of Metrolinx, is pleased to announce the second event in a
series of Metronauts unconferences to be held in Hamilton on Saturday,
May 3, 2008.
