Metrolinx is developing a Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) to improve transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). No matter where you live, work or play in the GTHA or how you get around — bike, car, foot, public transit — or rely on the movement of goods for your business, we want to hear from you. Help shape your transportation future by taking part in our public consultations. Start right now by reading and commenting on our White Papers and Green Papers.

We’re also developing a draft Investment Strategy (IS) on how to pay for our transportation system. You’ll have an opportunity to comment on the draft strategy when it’s completed in late September along with the draft RTP. Draft Regional Transportation Plan and Investment Strategy for Fall 2008

TORONTO (July 8, 2008) – Metrolinx will present its Draft Regional Transportation Plan and Investment Strategy at the next board meeting, now scheduled for September 26, 2008.

According to Board Chair Rob MacIsaac, the additional time will provide the agency with the opportunity to more broadly address a full suite of funding options, through expanded evaluation, design and assessment.
